The man who is certain to advance is the one who is too big for his place, and who has a clear concept of what he wants to be. Who knows that he can become what he wants to be. And who is determined to BE what he wants to be.

Our goal in reading this book is that we want to take the concept that applied in the Science of Getting Rich into our daily lives today into our businesses into our work into our families and into our relationships and friendships, and everywhere else, where these principles can be applied to. But our goal here is to really focus in our businesses. So if you're an aspiring entrepreneur, then you're really right in the right place.
In our previous episode, we read chapter 14 which was more on the idea of great leaders, start with why that was the biggest takeaway from the previous chapter. And what, what we said was if leaders, start with y, then they must know something that the rest of us don't know about the concept of starting with y.
And the concept of starting with y is borrowed from the book Start With Why by Simon Sinek, what the chapter calls this concept is the impression of increase.
Right. And so if you haven't heard that chapter, or if you haven't heard that episode, I want you to go and listen to it, and then come back. We will be right here.
Today we are reading chapter 15 As I've said, and chapter 15 is called the advancing men. So the way it goes is, I read the chapter, then we discuss it my notes, and then we take an action at the end of every episode we have an action that we do and our goal is in taking every little action every day. We are making sure each day is a success. And as we've learned, success is cumulative, and that means a winner each day, means we are in the right path to success. Chapter 15. The Advancing Man.
When I've said in the last chapter, applies as well to the professional men, as to the word earner, as the man who is engaged in the mansion tile business.
No matter whatever, no matter whatever you are, a physician, a teacher, or a clergyman.
If you give increase of life to others. Make them sensible of that fact, they will be attracted to you, and you will get rich. The physician who holds the vision of himself as a great successful healer who and who works towards the complete realization of that vision, with faith and purpose is described in the form of chapters will come into such close touch with the source of life, that he will be phenomenally successful patient will come to him in Throggs.
No one has a greater opportunity to carry out into effect, the teachings of this book than the practitioner of medicine. He does not matter of which of the various schools, he may belong for the practitioners of healing is common to all of them, and maybe reached by all, I like the advancing men, In medicine, who holds to a clear mental image of himself as successful, and who obeys the laws of faith, purpose and gratitude will cure every curable case. And he, he undertakes, No matter what remedies, he may use in the field of religion.
The world cries out for the craggy man who can teach his, here is the true science of abundant life.
He who masters the details The Science of Getting Rich, together with the Allied science of Being Well, of being great of winning love and who teaches these details from the People's people pits with never lack a congregation, will never lack a congregation.
This is the gospel, that the world needs. It will give increased and men will hear it gladly and will give liberal support to the man who brings it to them.
What is now needed in the demonstration of the science of life, from the people.
We want preachers who can not only tell us how. But who, in their own persons will show us how we need the preacher who will himself be rich, healthy, great. And beloved, to teach us how to attain to these things.
And when He comes, you will find a numerous and loyal following.
The same is true for the teacher who can ensure with a treat with the children, with the faith and purpose of the advancing life, you will never be out of a job, and any teacher who has faith and purpose can give it to his pupils.
He cannot help giving it to them. If he is part of his own life and practice.
What is true of the teacher preacher and physician is true, the lawyer dentist. Real Estate men insurance agent of everybody.
The combined mental and personal action, I have described is invariable, it cannot fail. Every man and woman who follows these instructions steadily pervert prevailingly to the letter, get rich.
The law of increased life is a mathematical certainty in its operation as the law of gravitation. Getting rich is an exact science.
The word, and we'll find this is true, this case of his case. As of any other mentioned, do not feel that you do not have a chance to get rich, because you are working, where there are no visible opportunities for advancement. To secure advancement, something more is necessary, than to be larger for your place. The man who is certain to advance the one who is too big for his place, and who has a clear concept for what he wants. Who knows that he can become what he wants to be. and who is determined to be what he wants to be.
Do not try to more than fill your present place with the view of pleasing your employer.
Do it with the idea of advancing yourself. Hold the faith and purpose of increase during work hours after work hours, and before work hours.
Hold it in such a way that every person who comes into contact with you, whether a foreman, fellow workman, or social acquaintance will feel the power of purpose radiating from you so that everyone will get the sense of advancement and increase from you.
Men will be attracted to you. And if there is no possibility for advancement in your present job, you will soon see an opportunity to take another job is power, which never fails to present opportunity to the advancing men who are moving in obedience to low.
God cannot help helping you. If you act in a certain way, he must do so in order to help himself.
There is nothing in your circumstance or in the industrial situation that you can, that can keep you down with cannot. If you cannot get rich, working for still trust, you can get rich on a 10-acre farm. And if you begin to move in a certain way, you will certainly escape from the clutches of the steel trust and get on to the farm, wherever else you wish to be
If few 1000s of his employees would enter upon a certain way.
This steel trust would soon be in a bad plight. It would have to give its workmen more opportunities, or go out of business. Nobody has to work for a trust. The trust can keep men in so-called hopeless conditions only so long as there are men who are too ignorant to know the science of getting rich and too intellectually slothful to practice it being this way.
Begin this way of thinking and acting, and your faith and purpose will make you quick to see the opportunity to better your condition, such opportunities will speedily come for the supreme working off. All in all, in working for you, will bring them before you.
Do not wait for an opportunity to be all that you want to be aware of, an opportunity to be more than you are now is presented, and you feel impelled towards it. Take it, which will be the first step towards greater opportunity.
There is no such thing possible in the universe as a lack of opportunity for the man who is living the advancing life.
It is inherent in the country in the Constitution, the Cosmo, that all things shall be for him, and work together for his good, and he must suddenly get rich. If he act and think in a certain way. So let which enter men and women, study this book with great care. And, and enter the confidence, upon the course of action, it prescribes.
It will not fail.
The End of Chapter 15 of the science of getting rich.
Now that chapter.
Like other chapters present us with one key point, and other lessons from here in there that we can use to apply into our everyday activities, and the one concept that I want to talk about here is the concept of advancing. And I want to bring it to my own lessons that I have gotten in starting businesses and learning from other mentors who have studied and build successful million-dollar businesses.
And one of the key things that I learned was the concept of advancing.
I learned this concept, as there is a fast track and ease, slow track. And if you take a look at an example streaming, right, there is a fast track, and there's a slow track. And when you're learning to swim at the beginning you're in the slow track and usually, there'll be other people on the same lane as you that are also learning to seem that are slow. Now if you want to go faster, and you try to swim in a slow track, the ease obstacles.
The obstacles or the other people who are also on the slow track, who are trying to swim.
Right, who are learning to swim, right, who are learning to float. Right. And so, the question here is supposed to become, are you in the right track.
Now, this may seem like it doesn't relate to business, but I'll show you how it relates to business in a minute.
When it comes to the concept of track. The best I can explain it again, if, if we look at runners, right, the sprinters and his marathon runners, long-distance runners. Right. And in running when you're, when they're sprinting. Usually, all the runners are in parallel to each other, right, they have a very short distance to cover, they're standing right beside each other and have a very short limited time to get to the goal they want to get to, which is the end of the finishing line.
Right. and when the runners are doing long-distance running. They are not standing right beside each other, usually, they're standing a little bit apart from each other, but as soon as the race start, they all converge into a single lane, and then they start running. Keep going, running on the inner circle of the track. And there is a very simple reason for this, the track, away from the inner track, a much longer than the track that is inside. And so by running on the track on the inside, they're able to complete their laps, much, much faster than if they were to run on the outside, further away from the inner track, right, without going into the mathematics and everything.
What we are simply saying is, If you are in that race, and you are the one who decides to run further from others on the outside of the track, then you are slowing yourself down not because you are slow, but because you've taken the wrong way, the long way. Right. You've taken the long way to complete a goal that others are completing.
Maybe even at the same speed, we've been there slower than you but they'll still complete the goal faster because they're completing it in a more efficient way. Right. And what does this mean for us in business?
Well, if you're in business you need to ask yourself, in business, in your life you to ask yourself, are you in the fast track, right. And if you're not on the fast track, or how do you know if you're in the fast track or slow track. And the best way to know that is, you need to ask yourself what do you want, suppose that's the first question.
What do you want?
And then once you, you know, what do you want, you will need to go deep into the details right. And the details. How different is what do you want from what you have right now?
Right. What is so different in terms of revenue right money in terms of effort. So everything that you do every day, in terms of relationships, right, your connection with everyone.
Family, friends, lovers, and all those things. Right. And the goal of asking this is by knowing where we want, and the difference, then we can look at what it is that we are doing today and ask, well how much we have to do if you're doing things the way we are doing to get where you want to be.
Right. So for example, if your business is a store, right selling locally.
There's nothing wrong with that. But if your goal is to make X amount, million,
let's say, and you're still is only generating less than that at most six figures, less,
then the question becomes how do you cross that line to get over. And the best way to ask to answer that would be well to look how efficient is it a generating what it is that you need it to be generating. So each look at the numbers. So first we look at the picture and then we look at the numbers, but the numbers alone are just for the revenue part of the other part is, if we look at the efforts and if you look at the relationship cases.
Then, one of the biggest things becomes, what are you doing today, that you would want to be doing later on. And, and the difference is how are you going to cross that difference for example if you want to be closer to your family, friends, and partners. Then, when you start doing things differently, right, then those will gestures of kindness that random act of kindness, become important because if you want to have those days if you want if those are the things that will contribute to the happiness thing that you want in the future.
And they become really important, even right now.
So, I suppose, in summary, what we are saying here is, knowing full well what we want in terms of numbers in terms of effort. and in terms of our daily habits routines and actions allow us to see if what we're doing today can get us there faster. And if it can't, then there are more ways to get there faster.
For example, a business that sells goods, raw materials, such as cups, plates, and all these things made out of solid materials.
We'll have to sell a lot more materials to make the same as a business that is selling inflammation. Because inflammation doesn't have the same cost of creation as raw material, because information doesn't have the same cost of distribution as raw materials, and more importantly, because information doesn't have the same cost of storage as raw materials, and you can see where we are going with this, right.
So, selling information will be the first track. In today's world, and that's where that is where the wind of opportunity is blowing towards the tides of opportunity are facing towards the information age.
But that is not the only fast track, there are more.
